Description
Heat water for the whole family with the HomeBasic 1500W Immersion Heating Rod, designed for everyday bucket water heating at home. Whether it’s a morning bath on a cold day, washing clothes or cleaning, the rod gives you warm water without waiting for a geyser to heat up. In our test, it heated 22 litres of water from 30.6°C to 37.1°C in 5 minutes at room temperature. Actual heating time may vary with water quantity, starting water temperature and room conditions.
The spiral coil heating element transfers heat efficiently to the surrounding water, helping it warm throughout the bucket. The heavy-duty tube has a nickel coating with 2X salt water protection, which helps resist rust and corrosion from salty water and keeps the rod reliable for longer.
Safety was built in. The rod is shockproof and ISI certified (IS 368), with an insulated handle for easy handling and a 3-pin moulded plug that fits Indian sockets securely. Clear minimum and maximum water-level markings show how deep to immerse the rod, helping prevent dry heating that can damage the heating element.
Using it is simple. Use a bucket or vessel at least 300 mm deep and hang the rod on its hook. Immerse the rod in water before switching on, and keep the water level between the marked limits. After use, switch off, unplug and wait 15-20 seconds before removing the rod. Keep it away from flammable material and use only a properly earthed socket. The 1.3-metre cord reaches most wall sockets, including high ones.
